MOOMOO Architects
Eighteen years. Nine countries. More than a hundred and fifty completed projects. We design houses someone will live in, developments someone will sell, and showrooms with cars standing in them.
An architecture studio based in Łódź and Warsaw, founded in 2007 by Jakub Majewski and Łukasz Pastuszka. Its team of sixteen designs premium houses and residences, housing schemes and multi-family buildings for developers, and spaces for brands. BMW, Porsche and Ferrari showrooms.

What we design
Three kinds of commission, one way of working.
Premium houses and residences. We design the house and everything around it: from the volume to the fence and the planting. We run the project from the first conversation to handover; permits, approvals and dealing with the contractor are on us. Since 2007, regularly for names from the Forbes list. Many of these houses we will never show.
Residential developments. Boutique apartment buildings, small-scale schemes, budget housing. Unit layouts, sellable area and structural cost are settled at concept stage, not on site. Clients: Cavatina, Modern Art Development, Artis Development, CK Investment, Opus X, Velocity.
Spaces for brands and automotive. BMW and Porsche showrooms, offices for brands, garages and spaces for collectors. Delivered for BMW Bońkowscy, Porsche Warsaw, Ferrari Katowice, Deloitte and PwC.
Jak pracujemy
Nine months from the first conversation to a complete set of drawings.
A residence project runs in three stages, roughly three months each. Koncepcja: massing, plan, and the relationship with the site and with how someone wants to live. Projekt budowlany together with approvals and the building permit. Projekt techniczny: the drawings a contractor actually builds from.
Nine months assumes no hold-ups. Authorities can add their own, and changing your mind after the concept is approved sets the schedule back a full stage, which is why we spend the most time at the start, when changes cost nothing.
Throughout, one person leads the project: the same one you met at the first meeting. Authorities, approvals and dealing with the contractor are on us.

Wallpaper* Architects Directory, 2009.
The only Polish studio among 30 chosen from around the world for the Wallpaper* magazine directory. Projects by MOOMOO Architects have been published by Dezeen, ArchDaily and Culture.pl, among others; the studio has profiles on Archello, Architizer and in the Architektura i Biznes database.
The first piece about the studio ran on 10 September 2008 in the American Trendir; the Polish press followed a month later. Since then, a hundred and thirty publications in nine countries: Dezeen, ArchDaily, Domus, DETAIL, the Korean 5osA, the Chinese gooood, the Spanish is-arquitectura, Architektura-Murator, Culture.pl, Forbes. For the first five years the foreign press wrote about us more often than the Polish one; from 2014 the balance reversed.
On top of that, eleven awards and competitions since 2007 and twenty-three lectures, exhibitions and talks. We keep the register separately: every entry with a date, a source and a link.
